2009 California Small Business Hiring Credit
Beginning in tax years 2009, California Franchise Tax Board is offering a $3,000 for any “net hew jobs”. This means that if you end the year with more employees that you started with, then you will have earned $3,000 for every new job.
To qualify, you must have 20 or fewer employees and claim this credit on the 2009 original tax return (so if you have extended your 2009 return, you still have a shot at claiming the credit!). There is only a fixed pool of $400 million. So if you think you can qualify, you should file your California tax return as soon as possible.
I've attached the FTB form 3527 for your convenience.
