Break out the champagne! Intuit let the cat out of the bag this morning with a press release this morning. Hidden in the QBES verbage is the words that all mid-market companies have been looking for, "The 11.0 version introduces Advanced Inventory, which enables users to track the quantity and value of inventory in multiple locations." Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and now QBES has multiple location inventory! I've done some simple testing and the functionality is simple, but effective. The preference menu allows you to setup multiple warehouses and the reporting capability will report on the inventory status of each location. However, this won't work for everyone, as advanced inventory does not include serial number and lot number tracking (QBES 2012?), but this is a HUGE leap and one that many of my clients are very excitied about!
