QuickBooks Add Ons

View My Paycheck for Mobile Devices

I've spoken about the cool free web application, Viewmypaycheck.com for a few years now. Today Intuit announced that a mobile edition is available and IT IS REALLY COOL.

Don't look for it in the app marketplace, simply type

hppts://m.vmp.intuit.com

into your mobile device web browser (then bookmark it so you can go back easily). It will send you to a nice mobile app that will allow the user easy access to all the paycheck info (including sick and vacation time). Since is is browser app (and not a marketplace app, it works on all mobile devices (android, ipad, iphone).

Such a great app and FREE is always nice.

QuickBooks Shopping Cart for Facebook

Our good friends at Propelware have created One-way Commerce, the first QuickBooks shopping cart for facebook. In fact, the first 9 products are free in the shopping cart!

I love the idea that there is a way to begin to make some money off of social media.  If you have a large fan base, why not try to sell some things via the facebook page?

Check them out at:

QuickBooks Payroll now easier to set up in California

In the past, all taxpayers who wanted to sign up for electronic tax payment had to submit a form DE 27 to the California Economic Development Agency and wait three weeks or longer for a response. Intuit has streamlined the process so that the form is no longer needed! Once a taxpayer has signed up with the federal government (via EFTPS), they are completely ready to pay taxes electronically to both the IRS and the EDD.

Thanks, Intuit.

Autofy is a 2010 Awesome Add-on

Congratulations to my friends at Propelware for the 2010 Awesome Add-on award from the Sleeter Group. They do a very good job connecting outside databases to QuickBooks. In fact, Joe Dwyer has worked for Intuit in the program development area so he is very familiar with the QuickBooks back-end.

If you ever need an outside database to interact with QuickBooks, consider Autofy.
