Greetings from Orlando

The Mobile CFO crew (Mary, June and Tomi) are in Orlando to attend Intuit ISP Summit. Intuit brings us all in one place to show us all of the latest features and to get us excited about QuickBooks 12. Usually I bring a healthy dose of skepticism, but there are some major changes to this edition that I think will really help people.

If you call for assistance, be patient with us.  We'll be out of the office until Thursday.

So, what are the high points of QB2012?

Hi Mary, so what were some of the high points from the ISP Summit?

Adam

Intuit is really getting serious about inventory

The lack of inventory features has really hurt in the adoption of QuickBooks by bigger and more complicated businesses. Many companies would purchase QuickBooks and then afterwards spend twice the amount of money on an inventory management program.

Intuit has finally heard our voices and added several inventory features. You can now separate receiving inventory from billing. You can track serial/lots within QuickBooks. Finally you can use the FIFO costing method.

That is a lot of changes in this one release. For the most part, I am happy about all of the new functions. Of course I am greedy, I want more features, but in viewing the QBES product roadmap in Orlando, a lot of what I want is coming.
