One of the keys to the Misys SBM and QuickBooks integration is the chart of accounts. As you know, the integration starts with the download of the QB chart of accounts into MIsys SBM and then the integration of the Misys control accounts with the chart of accounts. That is all fine and good, but what happens when you need to change something. Everyone would think that all you would need to do is change the account number in Misys and you would be done. WRONG!!! QuickBooks uses Account NAME as the index field, not account number. So if the name changes in QuickBooks, it must change in MIsys or the two systems will not be in synch.

Keep this in mind when you are making any changes to the MIsys chart of accounts or the QuickBooks chart of accounts.
