Warehousing and Distribution
QuickBooks Premier and Enterprise (notice that I am not referring to Pro) have some simple, but very effective tools for warehousing/distribution. If you can work with paper pick lists, QuickBooks is enough horsepower. You tend to grow out of QuickBooks when you want to bring computers into the warehouse.
There is a QuickBooks warehouse manager that will allow for the use of mobile hand-held devices. It works with QuickBooks enterprise as a “cloud” application and stores the warehousing information on Intuit’s servers. This allows for multiple users and multiple warehouses. The best part is that one user is included with the full service plan. That means you can receive all the horsepower of warehouse manager without the monthly fees (as long as you can live with one concurrent user). There are many multiple warehouse solutions that are integrated into QuickBooks but they are complex and expensive. At Mobile CFO, we will take a look at your business and find the right solution for you.
