How to Find a Bookkeeper

Question:

“I am planning on looking into getting someone to do my books because it has been very frustrating still not knowing what I am doing and forgetting to file things.  Overall, I think this will work better for me.  How do I find a bookkeeper?”

Answer:

“So sorry that you are having trouble…when looking for a bookkeeper, start with the Intuit proadvisor listing.

Look for someone who is certified in your specific version of QuickBooks, or you’ll have to pay someone to learn your software.  To save some money, I would look for a proadvisor with less than 3 years of qualifications.  They will be hungry for work and will probably give you a good deal.”
